Gin Distilleries Adelaide CBD
Red Hen Gin
One of the early Adelaide distilleries, Red Hen is quite well known for their Red Hen Gin, and have recently released a further three new gins.
Location: 14 Frederick St, Adelaide SA 5000
Prohibition Liquor Co
Arguably the most respected gin distillery in Adelaide. Their CBD location has a cool vibe and tasting area. Their gins are simply amazing. Certainly amoung the best South Australian gins.

Gin Distilleries Adelaide Hills
Ambleside Distillers
Another of the early distilleries in SA, Ambleside have a fantastic Hahndorf gin distillery that is well worth visiting. Their gins are very popular.

78 Degrees Distillery (Adelaide Hills Distillery)
Lot 100 is now a very popular destination for functions, events or just a chilled day tasting gins and wines in the Adelaide Hills. You’ll know 78 Degrees gins when you see them – their bottle features a big 78 on the label. They’re sometimes referred to as Adelaide Hills Distillery.

Applewood Distillery
From wine making heritage, Applewood produce fantastic gins and a lot of them nowadays are limited releases of 1000 or 2000 bottles at a time. They have a really cool distillery door and tasting area.

Route 9 Distillery
A relative newcomer compared to some of the other gin distilleries in the Adelaide Hills, Route 9 are certainly on the up and recently opened quite a stunning distillery door.

Gin Distilleries McLaren Vale
Settlers Spirits
They have a nice little tasting room and also offer gin blending sessions, where you can make your own gin. Their range is extensive to say the least and you’ll be sure to find one you like.

Prohibition Liquor Co
This is their satellite site, located at Penny’s Hill winery. Currently undergoing a renovation, so you can enjoy a Prohibition Gin in McLaren Vale once they’re done!

Never Never Distilling Co.
Very well known and chances are if you’ve been enjoying gin for a while, you’ll have already tasted one of their many gins available. Their cellar door is absolutely impressive.

Ginny Pig Distillery
Mount Compass Spirits
They produce a huge range of products, including gin, vodka, whiskey, rum and variants of each. A lot to choose from!

Gin Distilleries Barossa Valley
Barossa Distilling Company
They have a really cool tasting room and distillery door in the heart of Tanunda complete with a little outdoor area where you can enjoy the sunshine and play game son the grass. They have a popular range of Barossa gins.

Two Accents Gin
Produce four different gins, including a shiraz gin and also barrel aged shiraz gin.

Seppeltsfield Road Distillers
One of Barossa’s, and South Australia’s most well-known gin producers. Their Shiraz Gin was voted best in show at a recent international award. A must-visit Barossa Valley gin distillery in our view!

Spiritato Distillers
A relative newcomer in the Barossa scene, they’ve created a cool little distillery tasting room within a small shed at a winery!

Gin Distilleries Western Suburbs
Threefold Distilling
This distillery, founded by three guys with extensive bar knowledge, including Youtube personality Steve The Bartender. Their distillery door on Anzac Highway is still fairly new, and offers a chance to taste their constantly evolving range of gins.

Imperial Measures Distilling
Once of the OG’s in the Adelaide gin scene, these guys are known for their high quality gins and their bar has a really cool vibe (and tasty burgers!)

Three Little Birds Distillery
Nice little tasting room where you can enjoy one of their gins and also a light meal.

Heaps Good Spirits
Heaps Good Spirits are well-known in SA for producing SA-centric gins, including the popular Heaps Good Gin and Ginspresso, a coffee gin liqueur. They also have a ‘Spirit of SA Series’, where they create gins that highlight the best SA Places and Produce.

Adelaide Gin
One of the gins produced by Australian Distilling Co, who focus on making gins branded as capital city and large cities across Australia. Their Adelaide gin has been around for a long time now and is very well known.

Kangaroo Island Spirits
One of the most well-known distilleries SA has to offer. Often noted as one of the founders of the SA gin scene and a must-visit distillery on Kangaroo Island.

36 Short
Sinclair Distillery
This brand has been around for quite some time and you’ll find them stocked in Dan Murphy’s, among other bottle shops. Most well-known for their Urban Gin.
Location: No distillery door. Colonel Light Gardens.
23rd Street Distillery
One of the most well-known SA gin distilleries, the team at 23rd Street have an exceptional distillery door and offer a great tasting experience, with a restaurant attached. Their violet gin is very popular.

Reform
Located in the inner North East just out of the CBD, Reform have a tasting room and produce a range of gins.

Blend Etiquette Craft Distillery
The team at Blend Etiquette have a two-pronged business. They not only produce a selection of small batch gins themselves, but also contract distil, which means producing gins for other distilleries.
Blend Etiquette have just opened up the Blend Etiquette cellar door at Sturt!

Little Juniper Distilling
Hey Low Spirits
Hey Low are one of the pioneers in the low alcohol spirits scene. Their “spirits” are not able to be called gins as they ABV is not high enough, however their spirits are along the same lines as gins.
